PETITIONS

The act of killing an animal is a tragedy in itself, but it becomes even more heartbreaking when animals are killed solely for trophies, such as their heads, hides, or other body parts, to be displayed as mere objects of conquest. Trophy hunting is a barbaric practice that causes unnecessary suffering. In the United States alone, over 100,000 native carnivores, including bears, wolves, mountain lions, and bobcats, fall victim to trophy hunters each year.
The practice of killing these vital native carnivores for the sake of a trophy or for their fur is indefensible. Together, we can bring an end to this inhumane activity by advocating for policy reforms in the states where these magnificent creatures are hunted.
We urge you to take a stand against trophy hunting in the United States by signing our petition.
This petition is specifically for residents of the U.S. If you're an international advocate, please connect with Humane Society International to support similar causes.
Let's acknowledge that there is no justifiable, scientific reason to trophy hunt these wild animals. They play crucial roles in maintaining the balance of their ecosystems and contribute to biodiversity. We are calling for a ban on trophy hunting of these important species, who are invaluable when alive and free in their natural habitats, rather than being reduced to trophies in someone's decor.
